Hey There! If you enjoy games like Heads Up or Alias, but are looking for something new, Hat Up might just be what you're looking for! You can simply download it to get started. This app was created by a group of friends and family who combined their favorite elements from such games and added new features. Give it a try and share your thoughts!

Gather your friends or family, download the app, and let the fun begin! For a limited time, you'll have the chance to explain or guess as many words and phrases as possible over three rounds. In the first round, you'll use words; in the second, gestures; and in the third, a single association word. If you prefer a shorter game, feel free to end it after one round. The team with the most points wins.

When you download Hat Up, you'll gain access to:

How to play:

• Only one phone with the application is needed for the whole group.
• Pass the phone around during the game, with the Hat indicating whose turn it is.

Before starting the game:

1. Gather your friends and download the app.
2. Create teams.
3. Select a difficulty level, category, and number of words for the game. More words mean a longer game.
4. Choose a hat for each team.
5. The Hat will suggest nicknames for players to use throughout the game.

Note:

• All words in the Hat remain the same for each round.
• If you skip a word, it will reappear until guessed.
• A round ends when all words are guessed.

The game:

1. The Hat selects the player who explains the words to their team.
2. In round one, explain without naming the word; in round two, mime the word; in round three, use one association word.
3. If you accidentally reveal a word or skip one, it's fixable when time runs out.
4. View intermediate results after each round.

Your words and categories:

• Add your own words to existing categories or create new categories. A minimum of 20 words is required for a category.
